Incredible acting, characters, and an amazing story.
The main focus of the story was the relationship between a daughter and her father. The romance took a second seat behind that, and I'm glad it did.
Every single character in the movie is memorable. The grandfather is amazing, Ben Afflect is amazing, Gertie (daughter) is adorable and amazing, even the romance girl is amazing. What really makes this movie stand out however, is the flow and realism of Ben Afflects character. One of the best drama movies I've ever seen hands down.
